Tapioca rolls - Y3


Y3 students made these tapioca buns that they enjoyed rolling into balls manually and compared the tapioca flour to cornstarch used in another recipe using potato rolls. The challenge was to transform the flour into a malleable ball in their hands that could be baked as a tasty bun.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup of tapioca
80 g mussarella cheese
2-5 tbsps dairy cream

METHOD
Mix the tapioca flour with grated cheese in a bowl. To form a paste, the mixture must be placed in your hand and rubbed between palm and thumb to soften the flour. When the mixture softens it will be malleable and will form balls. Then add a small portion of dairy cream and roll. Place on baking tray, and bake in oven until light brown. Enjoy with your beverage of choice.
