Potato Rolls - Y4


Our Y4 students all wanted to eat and repeat this delicious recipe that was easy and fun to make with just a few ingredients. They peeled and mashed the cooked potatoes, chopped the chives and added the starch, salt and spices. They also enjoyed making a spicy sauce to dip in their rolls if they wanted to. 

Ingredients:
4 large potatoes, cooked
1 cup of corn starch
1 bunch of chives
1 spoon of salt or spice of choice. 

Method:
Boil potatoes until cooked soft and let cool, then cut, peel and mash. Chop chives and add with corn starch and salt and some spice such as oregano. Mix all and make small balls, roll into finger-shape rolls and then roll and place onto tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 20 minutes at 180 Celsius. Serve with dip of preference.
