Mini Pizza

Who doesn’t enjoy an easy-bake pizza? At Dual Day students learned how to prepare the dough and add some toppings. Other than that, they learned how to measure ingredients using different spoon sizes and becoming aware of how much milliliters/grams they correspond to. Cooking and math  going hand in hand.

INGREDIENTS:

Dough:
10 grams of dry yeast
1 tea cup of warm water
1  teaspoon of sugar
2 tablespoons of olive oil
½ teaspoon of salt
1 tea cup of flour (tip: mix wholemeal and white flour)

Topping ideas:
Tomato sauce
Mozzarella cheese
Cherry tomatoes
Fresh basil leaves
Grilled zucchini
Cooked broccoli
Arugula
Oregano
Olives
Other ingredients you wish :)

Steps:
1. In a bowl, combine yeast, sugar, warm water, olive oil and salt.
2. Add the flour little by little, mixing with a fork until it forms a dough.
3. Flour your hands and a clean surface to play with the dough for a while. Push, fold, roll, press, etc.
4. Let it rest for 30 minutes until it doubles in size.
