This
year we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th in
the Library, with facts about St. Patrick’s life and how
he became the patron saint of Ireland.
Children also read some popular Irish sayings, such as “A
friend’s eye is a good mirror”, “An old broom
knows the dirty corners best” and “Life is like
a cup of tea, it’s all in the way you make it”.
The Leprechaun, which is a mythical little man who lives in
the forest, left a pot of golden chocolates for the kids and
they had to guess how many coins there were.
Nobody guessed the correct amount, but two classes got very
close, Year 5C – Victor and Year 3A – Alberto. The
pot was shared between both classes and everyone loved tasting
the delicious chocolates.
