This month, in order to inform children about Labor Day, on 1st May, we put together a long timeline of all the jobs people have carried out throughout history.
Books about different times and communities in history such as, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Aztecs, the Vikings and life in the Middle Ages were on display for kids to see pictures and learn about the activities produced by humans.
We’ve also focused on various conceptions of work and labor in rural and urban areas and included the changes that occurred for women, children, and the increase in specialized professions.
The children brainstormed the different jobs they knew about and on the last few days of the project we displayed an enormous list of all the professions available today.
